Product descriptions

Product descriptions and pictures are given to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. If amendments are made by the manufacturer a product might differ slightly from those illustrated. We apologize for any inconvenience and refer to our Full Money Back Gurantee.



Product availability

We aim to only offer products which we have in stock, or that we can get within a few days. Occasionally there may be longer delays, and, if so, we will inform you immediately of the expected delivery date.



When you place an order

When you order is placed a confirmation and order specification is sent to the E-mail address you register. The invoice will be sent with the package.




Your Security

You are protected against abuse of your credit card information because We use the Paypal system. We are told when your payment is received in our Paypal account and we never see your credit card number. To learn more visit www.paypal.com. You do not have to have your own PayPal account to use this system, just a credit or debit card.


Delivery costs

Free Delivery applies to deliveries to the UK mainland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
Deliveries outside of these areas cost a standard shippingfee of £9.99 and in special cases we can be forced to charge more depending on actual costs. If so you will be advised before we dispatch your goods.



VAT

All prices are in UK Pounds Sterling (£). Children’s clothing up to and including age 13 are zero-rated for UK VAT purposes. When otherwise applicable the UK VAT rate is 17.5%.
Deliveries to outside the EU will not be charged UK VAT, but you may have to pay local VAT and taxes according to local laws.



We dispatch

Orders are dispatched within 2 working days after receiving confirmation of your payment in full. Please contact us before ordering online if you need large quantities.



When will You receive goods in the UK?

You should receive your goods within 3 working days of placing your order. If a delay in delivery is not acceptable to you, we refer to our Full Money Back Guarantee.



When will You receive goods outside the UK?

The scheduled delivery time inside the EU is between 3-6 working days depending on the distance.
Outside EU it can be from 6-14 working days again depending on the distance.
If a delay in delivery is not acceptable to you, we refer to our Full Money Back Gurantee. Please note we do not ship to Denmark as we refer our Danish customers to www.prinsessekjoler.dk



When You use a different adress than your own

You can arrange for your goods or giftvoucher to be delivered to any address. You can send items as gifts (and include a gift message, see our gift-wrapping service), or to your work address.
But we can’t ‘split’ your order across multiple addresses. If you want to send different items to different addresses we recommend you place separate orders for each address you want to send to.
If you register another adress than your own we assume it is for a gift and do not include a invoice. Your invoice will be forwarded to your registred email address.



Gift vouchers

Our vouchers come in set denominations matching product prices in the store. A voucher must be used in one and same transaction.
The whole amount on the voucher must be used as you cannot proceed to the check-out if it has not been used.

  • You must use the whole amount on the voucher in one transaction.
  • If you buy more goods than the value on your voucher you can pay the remaining amount using credit card or cheque.
  • Vouchers are subject to our returns policy.
  • We will send your voucher to your special Mermaid or Pirate if you state the child's name and address when completing the check out. You can leave a message to the child for us to print on the voucher. The message will be shown at the check-out.
  • Please write to us using query@mermaidsandpirates.co.uk if you require a different amount. You can also use this address to request a gift voucher for a specific product.


Promotion Codes

We reserve the right to, at any time, cancel any promotion codes, unless the code has a "valid until date" stated. Only one promotion code to be used in one transaction.

Returning unwanted goods

If you are not happy with your goods, you may return them, without giving a reason, up to 7 days after receiving them. We are happy to exchange them or give you a full refund only excluding any postage charges incurred just like when returning an item to a regular store.

When returning an item, You must:
  • return your items unworn and unused and in a resaleable condition;
  • enclose a copy of the invoice that accompanied your items.

We urge you to wrap the items in a protective way.


Returning faulty goods

In the unlikely event that goods you have received are damaged or faulty, we are happy to replace them (depending on your preference and stock availability), provided you notify us of the fault within 28 days after receipt. Please use query@mermaidsandpirates.co.uk

Cancellation of an Order

You can cancel your order at any time. To avoid having to handle the return yourself please email us asap at query@mermaidsandpirates.co.uk
and quote the order no. You wish to cancel.
If the order has been shipped you have 10 working days to return your item in order to receive the full refund less the original shipping costs if any.
