Product descriptions and pictures are given to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. If amendments are made by the manufacturer a product might differ slightly from those illustrated. We apologize for any inconvenience and refer to our Full Money Back Gurantee.



Product availability

We aim to only offer products which we have in stock, or that we can get within a few days. Occasionally there may be longer delays, and, if so, we will inform you immediately of the expected delivery date.



When you place an order

When you order is placed a confirmation and order specification is sent to the E-mail address you register. The invoice will be sent with the package.




Your Security when shopping with us - Payment Gateways

You are protected against abuse of your credit card information as we use the Paypal system or Google Checkout. We are told when your payment is completed and we never see your credit card details. It is also important to point out that Mermaidsandpirates never sell or pass on our customers' details to anyone. To use Paypal you do not need a Paypal account, merely a credit or debit-card. To use Google Checkout you do need to make an account with Google. if you wish to do so for us to process your order.

Delivery costs

We charge £1.99 for deliveries of goods up to £20, Free Delivery applies to orders worth over £20. This goes for deliveries to the UK mainland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands only ..
Deliveries outside of these areas cost a standard shippingfee of £9.99 and in special cases we can be forced to charge more depending on actual costs. Please get in touch before ordering if you are not based in the UK.


VAT

All prices are in UK Pounds Sterling (£). Children’s clothing up to and including age 13 are zero-rated for UK VAT purposes. When otherwise applicable the UK VAT rate is 17.5%.
Deliveries to outside the EU will not be charged UK VAT, but you may have to pay local VAT and taxes according to local laws.



We dispatch

Orders are dispatched within 2 working days after receiving confirmation of your payment in full. Please contact us before ordering online if you need large quantities.



When will You receive goods in the UK?

You should receive your goods within 3 working days of us recieving your payment and dispatching your order. We are not responsible for any delays caused by Royal Mail.



When will you receive goods outside the UK?

The scheduled delivery time inside the EU is between 3-6 working days depending on the distance.
Outside EU it can be from 6-14 working days again depending on the distance.
If a delay in delivery is not acceptable to you, we refer to our Full Money Back Gurantee.


When you use a different adress than your own

You can arrange for your goods or giftvoucher to be delivered to any address. You can send items as gifts (and include a gift message, see our gift-wrapping service), or to your work address.
But we can’t ‘split’ your order across multiple addresses. If you want to send different items to different addresses we recommend you place separate orders for each address you want to send to.
If you register another adress than your own we assume it is for a gift and do not include a invoice unless it is in your name. Your invoice will be forwarded to your registred email address.

Promotion Codes

We reserve the right to, at any time, cancel any promotion codes, unless the code has a 'valid until date' stated. Only one promotion code to be used in one transaction.

Returning unwanted goods

If you are not happy with your goods, you may return them, without giving a reason, up to 30 days after receiving them. We are happy to exchange them or give you a full refund only excluding any postage charges incurred just like when returning an item to a regular store.

Cancellation of an Order

Please email us asap at query@mermaidsandpirates.co.uk if you want to cancel an order, quote the order no. you wish to cancel.
If the order has been shipped you have 30 days to return your item in order to receive the full refund less the original shipping costs if any.

• enclose a copy of the invoice that accompanied your items.
